The book 40 Years of Performances and Urban Interventions (144 pages,
B/ W, cover color, 21 x 14,5 cm., by Clemente Padin, has been
published by YAUGURU Editions in bilingual edition (English &
Spanish), January 2010, directed by Gustavo Wojciechowski (Maca).
The book contents performatic artworks and actions carried out in the
streets (Artístic-Social Events) from 1970 to 2010. It has an
extensive prologue of the theoretical and performer German Boris
Nieslony, creator of Black Market, one of the most noted institutions
and well-known in the world of action art. The same was translated by
Mario Daniel Cohn, from Goethe Institute of Montevideo, Uruguay.
Besides the documental registrations of each action is included some
rehearsals of Padin that define his reflections in relationship to
this artistic gender: The Options of the Latin American Creator, Art
of the Action and The Performance from the Latin American Perspective.
Finally, a Padin´s curriculum brevis, close the book.

Acaba de salir el libro “40 Años de Performances e Intervenciones
Urbanas” (144 páginas, B/W, tapa color, 21 x 14,5 cm.) de Clemente
Padín editado por Editorial YAUGURÚ en edición bilingüe (español e
inglés), Enero, 2010, dirigida por Gustavo Wojciechowski (Maca).
El libro reúne trabajos performáticos y acciones realizadas en las
calles (Acontecimientos Artísticos-Sociales) desde 1970 a 2010. Se
abre con un extenso prólogo del teórico y performer alemán Boris
Nieslony, creador del Black Market, una de las instituciones más
prestigiosas y conocidas en el mundo del arte de la acción. El mismo
cuenta con traducción Mario Daniel Cohn, docente en el Instituto
Goethe de Montevideo, Uruguay.
Además de los registros documentales de cada acción se incluyen en el
libro algunos ensayos de Padín que van pautando sus reflexiones en
relación a este género artístico: Las Opciones del Creador
Latinoamericano, Arte de la Acción y La Performance desde la
Perspectiva Latinoamericana. Finalmente, un curriculum brevis de
Padin, cierra el libro.
